Do I have to pay for the deposit for the car?

No, you do not have to pay any deposit because the price of excess insurance / full insurance is included in the price of the car.

What is the minimum rental age?

Minimum rental age is 23 years.

What Prices Includes?

1. Full Insurance- C D W (full Coverage) - NO deposit for the car - NO excess insurance to pay - ALL INCLUSIVE PRICES.
2. Theft protection, FREE Faro airport delivery and unlimited kilometres.
3. Baby seats are available free of charge upon demand.
4. Additional drivers for your LUZCAR vehicle can be added to your rental contract free of charge subject to provision of relevant drivers' licences and age - restrictions.
5. FREE Spain Insurance for trips into Spain in Luzcar vehicles. They can be taken to Andalucia including Sevilla, Cordoba, Cadiz, Granada.

When do I make the Payment?

Payment is due on collection of the vehicle and processing the rental agreement.

Online Bookings do NOT require PRE-Payment for groups A, B, C, D or E. Please note that confirmation of reservations of rental cars within Groups F, G and H can only be provided following a PRE-PAYMENT of 50% of the total value of the rental.

For the PRE-PAYMENT, clients are requested to call us at the phone No 00351.282761016 with the following debit/credit card details ( Credit Card No, Name of Holder/driver, Expiry Date) when making a reservation for vehicles in these categories.

The car rental is provided by LUZCAR and the payment is done localy at the pick up of the car.

Can I pick up the car in Faro Airport after 8:00 PM ? If yes where do I find it?

Please NOTE: for pick-up in Faro Airport between 8:00 PM - 9:00 AM - the car will be located in the secured Airport Parking (see pictures and directions HERE) and can only be confirmed after we have your credit card details.

We do not supply roof racks.

Yes, you can find diesel cars in groups E, F and G.

Is there any Faro airport delivery tax ?

Please be informed that the Portuguese airport authority ANA (which is currently owned and operated
by the private French consortium VINCI) are implementing a charge which will apply to all vehicles
collected and returned in the airport car park.

This charge will be effective from 1st March 2015.

The charge will be 15 EUR inclusive of tax and will be collected at the time of pick up by us.

This will applied to every car hire at Faro Airport using Car Park 4 and not just with Luzcar.

The local car hire companies are currently taking legal action against the airport to avoid this fee in the

What is the toll roads payment system?

1 - When crossing, the vehicle will be registered by the tolls in the system.
2 - The tolls have different prices, but the price for kilometer in A.22 is about 7.5 cents.
(Ex: Route Vila Real de Santo António - Lagos - € 10.05)
3-there are 2 companies that recieve the payment ( National post office, and payshop shops)
4- the bill will only be online after 48 hours of the passage and will only stay for 72hours to be payed.
5-The companies that recieve the money can not see wich where the passages that the car had,
meaning that a car that is used by two persons on the same day they can not split the bills.
6-In case of a customer driving on the A22 on the last day of is vacation, because as it only comes online after 2 days, they can not pay the last passage.
7 - This use and the cost can not be payed to us as rent a car company, so after some time we will be notified and required by law to provide identification of the user / driver of the vehicle.
8 -The customer will be notified (with no fine) at his address for payment of uses and / or passages in A.22
